Couples Therapy
For couples of any orientation. All are welcome. 

 

Human beings are wired to connect. When we find a romantic partner we often begin the relationship with great hope and excitement. We can't get enough. We want to be around our new special person as much as we possibly can! In the beginning of our relationships we often put our best foot forward in an attempt to win over our partner. When we develop a comfort, we sometimes settle into a pattern of complacency, forgetting that our relationships require maintenance!

Inevitably our relationships will face challenges. We will experience hardships, conflicts, and communication challenges because we are imperfect individuals who come to the relationship with our own wounds and prior experiences that affect how we interact in our relationship. We may start to argue, experience resentments, become critical or defensive, and/or feel like we are growing apart.

 

Couples counselling can help you learn to manage conflict, increase your fondness and admiration for your partner, and improve your overall relationship functioning. I am trained in Levels 1 & 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
