About Me

Welcome and thanks for visiting!

My name is Amanda LeForte (she/her) and if you're here it means you're considering a really important and brave step in doing something for yourself. Starting therapy can be a scary and overwhelming process, and I am here to help make this part of your healing journey as un-scary as possible!

I have lived most of my life on unceded Syilx territory in Kelowna, British Columbia. I am now honoured to live, work, and play in Regina on Treaty 4 territory, traditional lands of the Nehiyawak, Nakota, Dakota, Lakota, and Saulteaux people, as well as the homeland of the Metis Nation. While I miss the mountains and glacier-fed lakes of my home, I have come to appreciate the living skies and vibrant fields of the prairies!

I am of mixed ancestry - Nlaka'pamux Nation on my mother's side and English settler ancestry on my father's side - and I am thankful for the gifts each side has given me. I deeply value my family, and when I'm not working I love spending time with my husband, our two children, and our fur babies. I love reading, listening to podcasts, and being outside. I am a beginner gardener, lover of the Vinyl Cafe, and live music enthusiast!

I did both my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work (clinical specialization) at UBC Okanagan, and I completed a Graduate Certificate in Values-Based Leadership at Royal Roads University. I participate in ongoing professional development so that I can continue to grow my skills as a therapist and offer the best care to my clients.

If you have any questions or wish to connect prior to booking with me I would love to hear from you! Feel free to get in touch through the contact link or give me a call.
